We are partnering with a successful international business undergoing a period of continued growth and investment. As the organisation strengthens its finance function and control environment, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Head of Balance Sheet Control to lead a critical finance improvement programme.
This is a highly visible role, working closely with senior finance leadership to enhance balance sheet integrity, strengthen financial controls, resolve complex accounting issues and ensure the business has a robust platform to support future growth. The assignment requires a hands-on interim who combines strong technical accounting credentials with the ability to drive meaningful change and deliver results at pace.
The Opportunity:
You will take ownership of reviewing and enhancing the company's balance sheet control framework, ensuring financial reporting is accurate, reliable and supported by best-in-class controls and governance.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a comprehensive review of balance sheet controls, reconciliations and governance.
- Identifying and resolving complex accounting and reporting issues.
- Improving the quality, accuracy and integrity of balance sheet reporting.
- Strengthening financial controls and reducing risk across the finance function.
- Driving process improvement and automation initiatives.
- Providing technical accounting leadership, including oversight of IFRS 15 revenue recognition matters where required.
- Partnering with senior stakeholders to implement sustainable improvements and best-practice processes.
- Creating a stronger, scalable control environment to support the organisation's ongoing growth.

About You:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Proven experience within financial control and/or technical accounting.
- Strong expertise in balance sheet management, controls and governance.
- Demonstrable track record of identifying issues and implementing practical solutions.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS 15 experience.
- Experience driving process improvements, automation and control enhancements.
- Capable of operating autonomously and building credibility quickly with senior stakeholders.
- Experience within industrial, engineering, manufacturing or similarly complex businesses would be advantageous.
