Head of Banking Product Portfolio
We are looking for a senior, entrepreneurial leader to take on the role of Head of Banking Product Portfolio, owning and shaping SAP Fioneer's global banking product portfolio across Core Banking, Payments, Digital Banking, and emerging technologies like AI, Digital Currencies etc.
This role goes significantly beyond product management. You will be accountable for defining the portfolio vision, driving product strategy and investment decisions, maximizing business value, and ensuring commercial success across all Banking Product Profit Centers.
You will operate at the intersection of strategy, product innovation, customer engagement, commercial growth, and technology execution, working closely with executive leadership, product owners, engineering leads, sales, central solution and marketing teams, and banking customers to ensure SAP Fioneer maintains a leading position in the focused banking software market.
This is a highly market-facing leadership role. While setting strategic direction and portfolio priorities, you are expected to engage directly with customers, analysts, partners, and industry stakeholders, translating market trends and customer needs into scalable, differentiated product capabilities.
What You Will Do
- Own and drive SAP Fioneer's global Banking Product Portfolio strategy, ensuring alignment with company growth objectives and market opportunities
- Define and maintain the long-term portfolio vision, roadmap, and investment priorities across all banking solution domains
- Identify new market opportunities, product adjacencies, acquisitions, partnerships, and innovation initiatives to accelerate business growth
- Ensure portfolio competitiveness through continuous assessment of industry trends and competitor offerings
- Lead the product strategy for Core Banking, Cash Management, Payment and Digital Banking solutions
- Govern portfolio lifecycle management, including investment decisions, business cases, pricing strategies, and product profitability
- Establish measurable portfolio KPIs including revenue growth, customer adoption, profitability, customer satisfaction, and market share
- Drive product standardization, scalability, and cloud transformation initiatives across the portfolio
- Lead executive-level product strategy workshops with customers, partners, regulators, and industry influencers
- Act as a trusted advisor to C-level banking executives on modernization, digital transformation, AI adoption, and core banking strategies
- Partner closely with Sales, Central Solution, GTM teams to drive pipeline growth and revenue realization
- Support large strategic opportunities and transformation programs by articulating SAP Fioneer's product vision and competitive differentiation
- Drive portfolio expansion through upsell, cross-sell, and new market entry strategies
- Contribute to annual business planning, revenue forecasting, and portfolio investment planning
- Build and lead a high-performing global Product Management and engineering organization
- Promote a culture of customer-centricity, innovation, accountability, and business ownership

Requirements
- 15+ years of leadership experience in Banking Technology, Financial Services Software, Core Banking, Payments, or FinTech
- Proven track record of owning and scaling large, enterprise banking product portfolios
- Experience managing products with significant revenue and P&L responsibility
- Strong background working with global banks and financial institutions
- Strong understanding of banking transformation programs and regulatory environments
- Ability to translate market trends into product strategy and commercial success
- Strong business acumen with experience in portfolio investment management and product profitability
- Experience developing and executing growth strategies in international markets
- Ability to balance customer requirements with scalable product innovation
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Ability to inspire and align global cross-functional teams
