Head of Bids
The Head of Bids will oversee the end-to-end bid process, ensuring high-quality submissions that drive business success in the business services sector. This role involves leading a team, managing deadlines and collaborating with various departments to secure new opportunities and support growth.

Description
The key responsibilities for the Head of Bids position will include:
- Lead and manage the bid process from initial opportunity identification to final submission.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather key information and develop compelling proposals.
- Ensure all bid documents are compliant, accurate, and meet client requirements.
- Develop and maintain a library of bid templates and resources.
- Monitor and report on bid outcomes and performance metrics.
- Train and mentor team members to enhance bid management capabilities.
- Identify areas for process improvement within the bid function.
- Work closely with the sales team to align bids with broader business strategies.

Profile
A successful Head of Bids should have:
- Proven experience managing the bid process in a business services environment.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Leadership skills to guide and develop a team.
Job Offer
- Salary ranging from £70,000 to £75,000, dependent on the level of experience.

Desired Skills and Experience
A successful Head of Bids should have the below experience:
- 4-5+ years experience in a Bids leadership role, either as a Senior Bid Manager or Head of Bid Management role.
- Experience working on public sector bids processes.
- Team leadership experience.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced, highly commercial environment.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Comfortable interacting with C-suite level stakeholders.
