About YUTHERA

YUTHERA is building the YU Patch, a wearable medical device for women living with pelvic pain conditions such as endometriosis and dysmenorrhea. It delivers drug-free pain relief and is designed to read signals from the body so that women and their clinicians can see what the pain is doing over time. Most women with these conditions wait years to be believed. We want to give them evidence.

We are a UK company with a team working remotely across the UK, the UAE, Europe, and India. The pain relief side of the device is at prototype stage, built with a university research institute in the UAE. We are also part of a European accelerator whose partners include global companies active in women's health, and of a UK investment readiness programme.

The Role

You will lead the sensing and algorithm side of the device. You own how physiological signals are acquired and processed on a small wearable, how the algorithms are designed, and how their performance is proven. You will work closely with our Chief Science and Safety Officer, a clinician scientist who sets the clinical requirements and the validation standard.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We Are Looking For

  • Seven or more years working with physiological signals from wearable or medical devices
  • At least one algorithm taken from research through to a product or a clinical validation
  • Strong signal processing skills, including handling motion and skin contact artefacts

Compensation and Commitment

YUTHERA is pre-seed. This role is part-time and compensated with equity until our funding round closes, on a four-year vesting schedule with a 12-month cliff. It becomes a paid position after the round, which we are targeting for early 2027. Everyone on the team, including the founder, is on the same basis.

This suits someone whose current work allows outside commitments, such as an academic, an independent consultant, or a senior engineer between roles. If you are in full-time employment, please check that your contract permits outside work before applying.
