Head of Borough-wide Services

Role Overview

Interviews to be held on 26th August 2026

The Head of Borough-wide Services will provide strategic and operational leadership for specialised community health services that operate across the whole of Bromley. The postholder will maintain clinical excellence and specialist expertise that complements and supports the four Community Health Locality Teams (CHLTs) and Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INTs). As the single accountable leader for borough-wide specialist services, this role is responsible for delivering the NHS 10 Year Plan objectives through expanded community-based specialist care that prevents hospital admission, reduces health inequalities and supports the shift from hospital to community.

The postholder will lead a portfolio of specialist services and oversee the provision of specialist advice and support to CHLTs. This role ensures these services maintain specialist standards while developing integrated pathways with CHLTs, enabling patients to access specialist input seamlessly and be ‘pulled back down’ to neighbourhood-level care as soon as specialist intervention is complete.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
