Head of Brand

London, Notting Hill

Competitive + performance related bonus

About Us

Simmer is one of the UK’s fastest-growing consumer brands, built on a simple idea: healthy food should taste extraordinary.

Founded by brothers Simmy and Jhai with £10 of ingredients, we’ve grown into a profitable, bootstrapped £100M+ ARR business and the fastest-growing food business in Europe (FT1000), serving tens of thousands of customers across the UK.

But we still think we’re early.

Our ambition is to become the defining brand in healthy eating.

We’re fully founder-led, with no private equity or corporate layers. The founders still run the business, set the standard and stay deeply involved in the work. That means decisions happen quickly, ownership is real and the people who join us have the opportunity to materially shape what Simmer becomes.

We’ve built scale through product quality, performance marketing and founder-led storytelling. Now we’re entering the next phase: building the brand to match the scale of the business.

The opportunity

We’re looking for a Head of Brand to lead that next chapter.

This isn’t a role for someone who wants to inherit a finished brand playbook.

We want someone who gets excited by the opposite: joining a challenger brand with real scale and momentum, working out what the next version should look like, and building the team, systems and creative engine to get us there.

There’s already a lot to build from: a product customers love, significant performance marketing capability, a founder with a strong audience and instinct for content, and an ambitious creative team.

What we don’t yet have is the fully built Brand function around it.

That’s what you’ll create.

You’ll work directly with our Founder and closely with Growth, Performance, CRM, Product and E-commerce to define how Simmer shows up, turn commercial priorities into campaigns people actually care about, and build an in-house creative organisation capable of producing brilliant work consistently.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The ambition is bigger than making things look better.

We want to build a brand that is distinctive, culturally relevant and commercially powerful - one that can increasingly create demand rather than simply capture it.

What you’ll build

You’ll own Brand and the creative output around it.

That means:

  • Build the Brand function. Create the positioning, messaging, content pillars, campaign calendar and operating rhythms that give the team clarity without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Build an exceptional creative team. Develop the people already here and shape the team across creative strategy, content, production, editing and design.
  • Create campaigns that travel. Turn product launches, partnerships and cultural moments into strong narratives that work across organic, paid, CRM, web, PR and beyond.
  • Make Simmer social-native. Develop repeatable formats, stories and ideas people genuinely want to watch, share and engage with, rather than simply pushing traditional brand advertising into social channels.
  • Build beyond founder-led content. Keep what’s authentic and powerful about our founder storytelling while creating a brand and content engine that can stand independently alongside it.
  • Connect brand and performance. Work closely with our performance team so brand, creative and growth aren’t separate worlds. Understand what’s working commercially and use those insights to make the creative stronger.
  • Raise the creative bar. Know when something should be fast, scrappy and low-fi and when a major brand moment needs to be exceptional.

Who we think will thrive here

You’ve probably spent meaningful time inside a high-growth challenger, DTC, consumer or culturally relevant brand and were there while something was being built.

You know what it feels like when the organisation is moving quickly, the answer isn’t obvious and there isn’t a perfectly finished process waiting for you.

You’ve seen great brand and creative work up close - but you’re still a builder.

You can move comfortably between a brand platform and tomorrow’s TikTok. Between a major campaign idea and the practical question of who is making the assets. Between creative judgement and commercial performance

You understand culture and social instinctively, but you’re not interested in creativity for creativity’s sake. You want the work to move the business.

You’re organised enough to create structure, pragmatic enough not to over-engineer it and hands-on enough to get involved when that’s what the moment requires.

You’re commercially minded. You understand how brand, creative and performance work together, and you can prioritise the work most likely to make a difference.

And you’re comfortable working closely with founders: taking context quickly and turning instinct into something a wider team can execute.

We’re less interested in the perfect job title than in what you’ve actually built.

You might already be a Head of Brand. Or you might be a Brand Director, Marketing Director, Creative Director or senior brand leader who has helped build something exceptional and is ready to own the whole thing.

Over time

Simmer should become more recognisable, more culturally relevant and less dependent on any single channel, promotion or person to create demand.

Why this role?

Because most opportunities to build come before the scale.

And most opportunities with scale come after the building has already been done.

This one sits unusually between the two.

You’ll join a founder-led business with significant momentum and have real ownership over what one of the UK’s fastest-growing consumer brands becomes next.

If you’ve helped build a challenger brand before and the idea of doing it again at much greater scale sounds exciting, we’d love to hear from you.
