HEAD OF DESIGN/CREATIVE - GLOBAL CONSUMER-FOCUSED DIGITAL BRAND
We’re working with a fast-moving, internationally operating digital brand that is investing heavily in the next stage of its creative and brand proposition. This is a senior design opportunity sitting at the intersection of brand, digital, marketing and product, with real scope to shape how the brand shows up across a growing ecosystem of customer touchpoints.
The role will suit a senior designer or creative lead who combines strong conceptual thinking with excellent execution. You’ll be expected to develop ideas, create distinctive visual assets and establish cohesive creative direction across campaigns, digital experiences, landing pages and wider marketing activity, while working closely with senior marketing and product stakeholders.
There is also an opportunity to act as a senior creative partner within the team, providing direction, helping shape the work of other designers and stepping up when needed. To be clear, this is not a purely strategic or management role. The ability to get hands-on and make excellent work yourself is critical.
What they need
- Someone who can bridge brand and digital design, with a track record of creating polished, distinctive creative rather than purely functional UI, product or design-system work. You’ll understand how to translate a brief into a strong visual idea and then carry that thinking consistently across multiple customer touchpoints
- A design leader with genuinely strong conceptual and creative development skills, able to take a loose brief, identify the opportunity, develop the visual direction and turn it into a compelling finished asset. You should be comfortable contributing ideas rather than simply executing predetermined concepts
- Someone who can operate at a senior level while remaining hands-on, whether that means acting as a trusted creative partner to senior stakeholders, providing direction to other designers or personally getting into the detail of the work when the quality bar demands it
- A digital native, who's comfortable working at pace within a high-volume marketing environment, where briefs continue to arrive, priorities change and there isn't always the luxury of weeks to refine an idea. You’ll be confident making good creative decisions quickly without compromising on craft or quality control
- Someone who can collaborate naturally across brand, marketing and product, understanding how creative ideas need to work within digital experiences as well as within broader brand and campaign activity. You’ll be able to communicate your thinking, challenge briefs constructively and work effectively with different disciplines

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

- Motion and emerging creative technology, with experience creating or directing motion-led assets and a genuine interest in AI-assisted creative workflows, image generation and new ways of developing visual content
- Using modern digital design tools, with strong compositing and production skills and the judgement to know when AI-generated or templated output still needs human intervention, refinement and QA
