Films for Humanity
Films for Humanity is a London film studio making powerful short films for small charities, free of charge. We are building a small, strong board for 2027 and need a Partnerships Lead to bring brands, sponsors, and festivals alongside our films. 3–5 hours a week, remote-friendly.
What difference will you make?
Small charities do extraordinary work, but most cannot afford to tell their story on film. Films for Humanity changes that. We make free, professionally produced films for charities with an income under £150,000, and we take those films into schools to start conversations with young people.
Partnerships are how we grow.
A single brand partner can fund a whole film, a series of screenings, or a premiere, and bring their employees, customers, and reach with them. It is one of the fastest routes to our ambition of supporting twelve charities a year.
Festivals are how our films are taken seriously.
Every selection or award opens doors to new partners, new audiences, and the recognition our films, and the causes behind them, deserve.
Your work will connect brands and the film industry with causes in a way that lasts. Every partnership you build means another small charity with a film it could never have afforded, and every festival you open up means those stories reach further.
You will also build something lasting. As we form our first full board, you will set the packages, the relationships, and the team that Films for Humanity will rely on for years to come.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a self-starter who opens doors, follows through, and closes, without waiting to be asked. Our founder leads the creative direction; you will lead our partnerships, with the freedom and trust to shape them your way.
Most important
- A proven self-starter who can work independently, set their own priorities, and deliver on what they commit to
- A track record in partnerships, sponsorship, business development, or brand partnerships, with deals you can point to
- The ability to build and lead a small, efficient volunteer team, with clear roles and simple systems so the work keeps moving
- Confidence working in a CRM every day (ideally GoHighLevel, or similar such as HubSpot or Salesforce) to track every contact, conversation, and follow-up

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Also valuable
- A network in the film, media, advertising, or brand world, or experience with festivals, product placement, or branded content
- The confidence to open conversations with senior people, and the judgement to know which brands are the right fit for our mission
- A warm, professional approach, and a commitment to partnerships that respect the dignity of the stories we tell
You do not need to have been a trustee before; we will give you a full induction. We warmly welcome applicants with lived experience of the issues our films address, such as mental health, domestic violence, or conversion therapy, and people from backgrounds under-represented in film and media.
Hybrid
What will you be doing?
Films for Humanity has produced six films since 2019, on mental health, domestic violence, drunk driving, kindness, Black history, and conversion therapy. In 2026 we rebranded from Filming for Humanity and are now forming a four-person leadership board for 2027: a Head of Marketing, a Head of Grants, a Head of Brand & Industry Partnerships, and a Head of Education & Community Partnerships, working alongside our founder and creative director.
Companies increasingly want to show, not just say, that they care, and our films give them a meaningful way to do it. We already have a sponsorship deck and a researched database of 132 UK companies with a record of giving. What we need is someone to turn that into real partnerships, and to take our films onto the festival circuit. That is where you come in.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
As Head of Brand & Industry Partnerships, you will own our relationships with brands and the film industry. You will
- Shape and lead our 2027 partnerships plan, with clear packages for film sponsorship, brand partnerships, product placement, and events
- Prioritize the companies whose values and causes match our films, and open conversations with their CSR, brand, and marketing teams
- Tailor proposals, negotiate fair agreements, and close partnerships
- Look after our partners so they come back, with clear reporting on the impact they made possible
- Lead our festival strategy, choose the right festivals for each film, and oversee submissions and deadlines
- Build and lead a small volunteer team, starting with a festival submissions coordinator
- Use our CRM (GoHighLevel) to manage every contact, conversation, and follow-up
- Work closely with the Head of Marketing on partner visibility, and with the Head of Grants so we never approach the same organization twice
- Join one online board meeting a month (60–90 minutes)
How our structure works
Films for Humanity currently operates as a Community Interest Company (CIC), and we are registering a charity alongside it in 2027. Commercial partnerships, where a brand receives visibility, sit with the CIC; charitable donations and corporate giving will go to the charity once it is registered. You will help each partner choose the right route. You will sit on the CIC's advisory board from day one and be invited to become a founding trustee of the charity once it is registered. We will keep the two roles clearly separated, and you will never be asked to act for one organization at the expense of the other.
This is a rare chance to build the partnerships of a young film studio at the moment it steps onto a bigger stage.
