Head of Brand and Story
We are hiring a Head of Brand and Story to own how Paires shows up everywhere: the content we publish, the story the press carries, and the answers AI assistants give when founders ask about us.
Paires is where founders come to raise capital. We pair them with the right investors from a large, engaged global investor network, then our agents manage the relationships that turn into meetings. It is a two-sided platform, live with paying clients, profitable and self-funded, built by a small, senior, flat team that ships fast.
The role
Companies used to split this work into departments: content, communications, search. The internet stopped respecting those borders. A founder deciding where to raise sees your LinkedIn post, asks ChatGPT who to trust, and reads what Google's AI assembles, all in one afternoon, and every one of those surfaces is either working for you or sitting empty. This seat owns all of them. You set the narrative and you make the work: the posts and scripts in your own writing, the podcasts and sit-downs you run, the citable pages AI engines quote, the coverage you pitch and land, the entity story every platform repeats. Head of one, reporting directly to the co-founders, with the authority the title implies and none of the meetings.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you will own
- The narrative: Paires' voice, positioning in the wild, and the story founders and investors meet before they ever talk to us.
- The content itself, made by you: short-form on LinkedIn and X, long-form podcasts and sit-downs with successful founders and investors.
- The citable layer: answer pages, comparison pages, and a newsroom, structured so AI engines can parse, trust, and quote Paires as the source.
- Earned media: trade press, newsletters, and podcast placements, pitched and landed by you, plus a quarterly data asset journalists want to cite.
- The entity record: one canonical company story on every platform and directory, maintained forever.
- The measurement loop: share of voice across AI answers and search, reach, inbound, and what prospects mention on calls.
You are a fit if you
- Have owned a brand's public story end to end and can prove you made it yourself: writing we can read, placements you landed personally, accounts you grew, share-of-voice or traffic numbers you know from memory.
- Live in the startup and venture world already: daily on LinkedIn and X in the niche, fluent in the rounds, the funds, and the discourse, because it is genuinely your world.
- Still do the making: hooks, posts, pages, pitches, in your own hand. If your last three years were approving other people's work, this is the wrong seat.
- Understand how AI answer engines choose their sources, and have shipped work built for citation: structure, schema, entity consistency, third-party weight.
- Have landed coverage yourself and pick press targets by citation value, not the vanity of the masthead.
- Want the whole canvas, solo: strategy, creation, placement, measurement, tied to revenue.
