Head of Brokerage (Commercial Finance)
Location: UK (Flexible / Hybrid options available)
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive Base + Uncapped OTE / Bonus Scheme + Executive Benefits
About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious, high-performing Head of Brokerage to lead, motivate, and expand a commercial finance broker team.
In this pivotal leadership position, you will be directly responsible for driving revenue growth, optimizing team performance, and scaling the brokerage function. You will lead from the front—fostering a high-performance sales culture, ensuring your team hits and exceeds deal volumes and origination targets, and spearheading recruitment to bring top-tier commercial finance talent into the business.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Target Achievement
- Performance Management: Set clear KPIs, individual lending targets, and revenue goals for the commercial finance broker team.
- Pipeline Management: Oversee the team’s sales funnel across asset finance, invoice finance, commercial mortgages, and unsecured business loans, ensuring strong deal flow and high conversion rates.
- Coaching & Mentorship: Provide ongoing training, deal structuring support, and professional development to help brokers consistently achieve their targets.

Growth & Recruitment
- Team Expansion: Lead talent acquisition efforts to recruit, onboard, and retain high-caliber commercial brokers across the UK.
- Capacity Planning: Identify market opportunities and scale the broker footprint strategically to support company growth ambitions.
Strategic Leadership & Relationships
- Lender Relations: Work closely with key panel lenders, specialist funders, and underwriters to secure optimal terms and product access for the brokerage.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate broker workflows, CRM systems, and compliance procedures to streamline the customer and funder journey.
- Executive Reporting: Deliver regular performance insights, pipeline forecasts, and growth strategies directly to the senior leadership team.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven Track Record: Extensive experience within the UK commercial finance sector (brokerage or specialist lender background preferred).
- Leadership Excellence: Demonstrated success managing, coaching, and scaling a team of commercial finance brokers or sales professionals.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of credit structuring, commercial lending products (Asset Finance, Invoice Finance, Property/Commercial Mortgages), and funder criteria.
- Growth Mindset: Strong recruitment acumen with a clear network and ability to attract high-performing broker talent.
- Target-Driven: A history of consistently achieving and exceeding team origination and revenue targets.
