Summary Of Role
To manage and support an Account Management team who must negotiate and renew a portfolio of policies through the Specialist Broker network. Steer Account Managers towards growth and help them retain profitable portfolios, in accordance with company strategy.
Main Tasks
- Conduct performance and salary reviews for direct reports
- Lead recruitment activities for the Account Management team
- Oversee training and development of staff to build capability and expertise
- Manage annual leave and team resource planning
- Drive innovation and lead change management initiatives across the team
- Steer and empower the team to retain a profitable portfolio aligned with business objectives
- Meet and engage with customers to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities
- Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Brokers
- Develop and execute strategies in partnership with Brokers and Customers
- Negotiate effectively both internally (cross-functional stakeholders) and externally (Brokers and Customers)
- Support and contribute to internal projects and business improvement initiatives
- Manage corporate entertainment activities and associated budgets
- Maintain management reports and leverage data insights for strategic planning and decision-making
- Intervene promptly and effectively when issues arise within the portfolio to minimise risk and protect profitability
What We Are Looking For
- Communication – Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Industry Experience – Proven experience in a financial servicing and/or sales environment
- Negotiation – Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Product Knowledge – Good understanding of Allianz Trade products and services
- Market Expertise – Extensive knowledge of the credit insurance market
- Broker Relationships – Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong Broker relationships
- Technical Proficiency – Ability to create and maintain advanced Excel spreadsheets for reporting and analysis
- Collaboration – Ability to work effectively and collaborate with different departments across the business
- Problem-Solving – Innovative mindset with the ability to find solutions for challenges
- Driving Licence – Full UK Driving Licence
