The Big Picture
As the Head of Building Academy, you will be the architect of our knowledge ecosystem. You aren't just running a training department; you are building the engine that empowers our internal teams, our Sales, Solution, and Service Partners, and our customers to excel. By bridging the gap between technical support and education across both hardware and software, you will ensure that every user—from a first-year apprentice to a long-term end user—has the expertise and support they need to succeed. You will lead a team of 8 with 4 direct reports. This is a hybrid role, with 2-3 days per week in the Datchet office.
Your Key Responsibilities
Strategic Training Leadership
- Design and execute a comprehensive training strategy for three distinct audiences: Internal Staff, Partner Employees (Sales, Solution, and Service), and End Users.
- Manage and develop multi-channel learning paths (e-learning, hands-on workshops, and certifications) that cover our full portfolio of hardware and software solutions.
- Measure training effectiveness and ROI to ensure our partner network and internal teams are truly becoming more proficient.
Apprenticeship Scheme Management
- Lead and expand our Apprenticeship program, acting as a mentor and advocate for the next generation of technical talent.
- Ensure the curriculum meets both business needs and educational standards, providing a clear pathway from entry-level to expert in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Engage with external learning providers to expand the use of Siemens technologies within the curriculum.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
