About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven UK Head of Business to lead the sustainable growth of our UK subsidiary and strengthen our position within the UK space ecosystem. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced leader to shape and execute our UK growth strategy, develop strategic partnerships across institutional and commercial space markets, and position Indra Space Systems as a trusted partner for customers and stakeholders.

You will provide local leadership for UK operations, act as the primary point of contact for UK-based employees, and ensure strong alignment between UK priorities and the wider objectives of the Space Systems business. Combining strategic vision with hands-on business development, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth across end-to-end space missions, satellite avionics, ground segment capabilities and space safety services.

Reporting to the Indra UK CEO and the Indra Space Systems Business Unit Director, this exciting role offers the opportunity to influence the future direction of Indra Space Systems UK.

  • Defining and delivering the UK growth strategy in alignment with Indra Space Systems and Indra UK objectives.
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities across institutional and commercial space markets.
  • Building strong relationships with customers, government agencies, industry partners and key stakeholders to enhance market presence and secure future opportunities.
  • Supporting the development of capture strategies, bids and proposals, providing valuable market insight and customer understanding.
  • Establishing strategic partnerships that strengthen our market position and expand our capabilities within the UK space sector.
  • Representing Indra Space Systems at industry events, conferences and customer engagements, promoting our expertise and value proposition.
  • Acting as the senior Space Systems representative in the UK, providing local leadership and supporting UK-based teams and operations.
  • Working with corporate support functions including Finance, HR, Legal and Quality to ensure the effective delivery of UK activities.
  • Supporting the long-term growth and scaling of the UK business, identifying opportunities to expand our footprint, capabilities and market influence.

Requirements & Experience

What we're looking for:

  • A commercially minded space sector professional with a passion for driving growth and developing strategic partnerships.
  • Proven ability to identify, shape and progress new business opportunities within complex and evolving markets.
  • Strong understanding of the space industry, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into compelling customer solutions.
  • An influential leader and relationship builder who can engage confidently with customers, partners, government bodies and industry stakeholders.
  • An excellent communicator with good stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships across functions, teams and cultures.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a focus on delivering sustainable business growth.
  • Highly autonomous, accountable and comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years' experience within the space sector.
  • Strong understanding of the UK and European space ecosystem, including institutional customers, prime contractors, SMEs and funding mechanisms.
  • Solid understanding of space systems including at least one of the following; satellite platforms and avionics, ground segment and operations, space safety/sustainability, satellite communications architecture.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness, strategic thinking and business development capability.
  • Ability to work autonomously, influence senior stakeholders and build trust across functions and cultures.
  • Fluent English required; Spanish is a plus given the group structure.
