Head of Business Systems
Contract/Outside IR35
London / Hybrid
A leading Private Markets firm is seeking a Head of Business Systems to take ownership of its core business applications and technology landscape.
This is a technical leadership role, not a change or transformation position. The successful candidate will come from a strong technology background, with the technical depth to understand complex systems, integrations, and architecture while leading the Business Systems function.
Requirements:
- Strong technical background across Business Systems / Business Applications
- Private Markets, Private Equity or Asset Management experience essential
- Experience across multiple business-critical platforms rather than a single application
- Strong understanding of systems integration, architecture, and SaaS environments
- Experience leading teams, vendors, and technical delivery
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate across technology and the wider business

Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Systems function
- Own a broad portfolio of core investment and corporate applications
- Oversee systems across fund accounting, portfolio monitoring, sourcing, finance, and general ledger
- Drive systems integration, optimisation, and technical improvement
- Manage vendors and third-party technology providers
- Provide technical direction across the wider Business Systems landscape
