The Role

Join HSBC UK as Head of Business Banking Marketing and Customer Events, shaping how we grow market share and income through marketing, programmes and strategic events. Sitting within the UK Marketing function and reporting to the Head of Commercial Banking Marketing this role plays an active part in the senior leadership team for UK Business Banking. You’ll translate business strategy into clear marketing strategies and plans that are continuously optimised and measured for results. With responsibility for a £multi-million budget you’ll set a compelling vision for Business Banking and bring it to life across channels. Success means delivering award-winning work that strengthens acquisition, client experience and brand building while supporting the business’s ambitions and goals.

What you'll be doing

  • Shape the marketing strategy and annual plan to support Business Banking growth
  • Set the strategy and planning for CMB Events and Partnerships across customer segments including Brokers
  • Own programmes linked to societal purpose goals including the Small Business Growth Programme and Women’s Business Growth Initiative
  • Define short and long-term marketing plans for Business Banking and continuously optimise activity to support significant market share growth
  • Agree budgets, targets and growth strategies with senior business stakeholders across your areas of responsibility
  • Partner with external agencies and internal teams to deliver cross-channel campaigns, materials and activations for acquisition, income growth, client experience and brand building
  • Use data, insights, customer intelligence and emerging trends to shape activity and influence customer-centred change
  • Oversee go-to-market readiness for product launches and commercialisation programmes in Business Banking
  • Develop marketing tools for sales teams to support client acquisition and growth activity
  • Mobilise expertise across UK Marketing and centres of excellence to deliver outstanding marketing activity and brand experience

What we're looking for

  • Bring deep knowledge and experience in marketing strategy, campaign development, events and partnerships, planning and execution
  • Demonstrate proven expertise in strategic marketing with a track record of delivering results through multiple teams
  • Show experience of partnering with business stakeholders to deliver marketing aligned to commercial and strategic goals
  • Communicate complex information clearly and simply to wide and varied audiences, including senior stakeholders
  • Apply data and insights to shape marketing strategy and optimise activity
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously using internal teams and agency resources
  • Guide and coordinate diverse teams across direct reports and cross-functional teams, with experience engaging Senior Executive audiences
  • Bring strong project management capability to deliver against targets, timelines and budgets
