We're partnering with a leading organisation operating within the professional services space to appoint a Head of Business Development. This is a senior leadership opportunity responsible for shaping and delivering a national growth strategy, leading a geographically dispersed team, and building relationships with some of the UK's most influential organisations.
The Opportunity
Reporting into a senior leadership team, you will be responsible for driving commercial growth, expanding strategic partnerships, and increasing engagement with a portfolio of professional development and learning solutions.
Leading a team of Business Development Managers, you'll translate strategic objectives into tangible commercial outcomes through effective sales leadership, market insight, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and delivering the national business development strategy and sales targets.
- Leading, coaching, and developing a team of four Business Development Managers.
- Driving the adoption and growth of professional learning and development solutions.
- Building and maintaining senior-level relationships with key clients and strategic partners.
- Identifying new market opportunities through commercial insight, data analysis, and market intelligence.
- Working closely with marketing, product, and regional teams to support growth initiatives.
- Owning pipeline management, forecasting, and revenue reporting.
- Acting as an ambassador for the organisation with senior stakeholders across the professional services sector.
- Providing commercial insight and market intelligence to inform future growth strategies.

About You
We're keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
- A proven track record in B2B business development or sales leadership.
- Strong people leadership experience, including managing remote and geographically dispersed teams.
- Commercial acumen and experience owning revenue targets and sales performance metrics.
- Outstanding relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to influence and engage senior decision-makers and executive-level stakeholders.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial, and growth-focused mindset.
