The opportunity
Now is a truly great time to consider a career with us as we look for a proven new business sales professional to join our UK Retail Sales team. Operating in a hybrid capacity as both a dynamic manager and a hands-on individual contributor, you will take the lead in developing and expanding our new client acquisition activities and customer base. This high-impact opportunity invites you to be an integral part of an innovative business with strong credentials, playing a pivotal role in delivering our UK North Star ambition and building something truly exciting with full support from the Enterprise community.
Day-to-day Responsibilities
- Develop structured new business plans ensuring focused execution, progress measurement, and effective cross-departmental collaboration.
- Review pipeline opportunities closely, providing accurate revenue forecasting, management information, and Salesforce CRM reporting.
- Build balanced sales pipelines, identify key decision-makers, and execute new customer acquisition strategies successfully.
- Run high-impact pitches, preparing quality proposals and delivering direct economic value propositions to prospective clients.
- Lead a small team with clear direction, providing coaching, development, and personal development reviews to drive performance.
- Coordinate with internal networks across departments to ensure a clear understanding of Worldline services and value propositions.

Who Are We Looking For
We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what’s next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:
- Demonstrate a successful track record in new business development, preferably within technology sales.
- Have substantial knowledge of solution proposals, economic value propositions, and closing major deals.
- Ability to grow a pipeline, develop and own sales channels, and map key organizational decision-makers.
- Motivation and passion for driving new client acquisition and leading high-performing sales teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage confidently at Board and executive levels.
- Master relationship management, using CRM tools effectively to track sales progression and establish KPIs.
- 5+ years working in new business development, payment technology, or professional services environments.
