Role description: Manager
Role Purpose
The role is responsible for leading and delivering a sustainable income generation strategy for NE Youth by growing diverse funding streams, building strategic partnerships and supporter relationships, and aligning fundraising activity with organisational priorities to maximise long term impact for young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of NE Youth’s income generation strategy, aligned to organisational priorities.
- Grow and diversify income across corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, government and combined authority funding, individual giving, fundraising events and digital campaigns.
- Identify new funding and partnership opportunities that align with NE Youth’s mission and values.
- Lead income forecasting, budget setting, stewardship and performance monitoring.
- Ensure fundraising activity is ethical, sustainable and focused on long-term impact.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with corporate partners, funders, donors and supporters.
- Develop clear and engaging supporter journeys that encourage long-term commitment and retention.
- Position NE Youth as a trusted partner for organisations looking to create positive outcomes for young people.
- Ensure effective use of CRM and reporting systems to track income, engagement and impact.
- Work closely with the wider team to develop and write strong, well-aligned funding applications and manage outsourced bid writers as required.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of fundraising and engagement events.
- Set clear targets and KPIs and report progress.
- Maintain a good understanding of the funding and policy environment affecting young people and the youth sector.
- Ensure youth voice, inclusion and positive, strengths-based language are central to all communications.
- Use internal impact insight to help shape funding priorities, partnership offers and communications.
- Represent NE Youth confidently and professionally at meetings, events and external forums.
- Actively contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Champion NE Youth’s values, safeguarding responsibilities and commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
- Lead with integrity, collaboration and a clear focus on improving outcomes for young people.
