Head of Business Development

The Head of Business Development will lead, and inspire a high-performing team of Relationship Managers, cultivating a high-trust, high-accountability sales culture. The primary focus of this role is to accelerate revenue growth by driving new business acquisition within the employer market. The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of B2B sales leadership and a robust background in commercialising and launching new product suites.

Description

The Head of Business Development will lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of Relationship Managers, cultivating a high-trust, high-accountability sales culture. The primary focus of this role is to dramatically accelerate revenue growth by driving new business acquisition within the employer market. The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of B2B sales leadership and a robust background in commercialising and launching new product suites.

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Sales leadership & team management - lead, mentor, and develop a team of high performing relationship managers.
  • New business & market expansion - formulate and execute a comprehensive B2B sales strategy tailored to win business in the corporate sector.
  • Driving new product offerings and innovation - lead the commercialisation and market positioning of new product suites.
  • Pipeline management and operational excellence - enforce disciplined usage of the Salesforce CRM.

Profile

A successful Head of Business Development should have the following skillset;

  • Proven B2B Sales leadership - substantial experience coaching, leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Track record of new business success - demonstrated both individually and across a team.
  • Strong understanding of the Corporate Training, apprenticeships, or professional accreditation space would be desirable.

Job Offer

  • Salary ranging from £80,000 to £90,000, dependent on the level of experience.
  • Bonus scheme to reward performance.
