About the Opportunity
Sepax Bioscience is seeking an experienced Head of Business Development, EMEA to build and grow our process chromatography and purification business across the EMEA region.
This is a build role and a unique opportunity to serve as Sepax's primary commercial presence in the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, growing sales of Sepax process chromatography media, columns, and related purification solutions, and establishing strong relationships with downstream processing and purification customers in the biopharmaceutical market.
The position will initially operate as an individual contributor, with the expectation of building a regional team as the territory and business develop. The role will work alongside Sepax's existing European consultant and analytical sales representative and coordinate with distributors throughout the territory.
What You'll Do
- Drive sales revenue and business growth for Sepax process chromatography media and purification solutions across EMEA.
- Proactively identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities and process-scale accounts.
- Develop and execute territory and account strategies to expand Sepax's presence in the biopharmaceutical market.
- Lead technical discussions, product demonstrations, seminars, workshops, and customer training.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers throughout the process development and purification lifecycle.
- Maintain regular face-to-face customer engagement throughout the territory.
- Manage sample requests and customer evaluations from initial request through technical follow-up, coordinating with Sepax's U.S. and China teams.
- Maintain an accurate opportunity pipeline and provide regular forecasts, account updates, and competitive intelligence to Sepax leadership.

What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or European equivalent in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or another relevant scientific discipline; an advanced degree is a plus.
- 8+ years of sales, marketing, or business development experience within the bioprocess industry, including territory ownership and a demonstrated record of winning new process-scale accounts.
- Strong understanding of downstream processing, purification products, applications, and markets.
- Practical laboratory chromatography experience, including process development, purification, and/or FPLC systems, is strongly preferred.
- Strong technical sales capabilities with experience delivering customer presentations, technical seminars, and product demonstrations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable operating independently in a developing territory.
- Strong leadership capabilities and interest in helping build a regional commercial organization as the business grows.
- Professional fluency in English is required. Business-level proficiency in German and/or French is strongly preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel internationally.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50–60%, primarily throughout EMEA, with occasional travel to Sepax facilities in the United States and China.
- Must reside within reasonable travel distance of a major international airport.

This is a permanent, full-time position employed through Sepax's Employer of Record (EOR) partner in the candidate's country of residence. The employee will work exclusively for and under the direction of Sepax. Employment terms, benefits, and social security will follow applicable requirements in the country of employment.
Candidates must have an existing and unrestricted right to work in their country of residence. Visa sponsorship is not available.
