We're here to help communities live healthier, happier lives by making our centres welcoming, inclusive and accessible to everyone - because everyone deserves to feel good. We're all about delivering amazing customer service and creating spaces where people feel at home, supported and inspired.

We are seeking an accomplished and commercially astute sport and leisure professional to provide leadership for Freedom Leisure's business development function. As Head of Business Development, you will play a central role in shaping and delivering the organisation's growth strategy, strengthening our market position and securing sustainable opportunities that advance our charitable purpose.

You will also provide informed oversight of business cases, financial proposals, project mobilisation and associated governance.

Reporting to the Business Development Director, you will lead, develop and performance manage a team of Business Development Managers, setting clear priorities and ensuring a consistent, high-quality approach across the opportunity pipeline. You will be expected to exercise sound judgement, manage competing strategic priorities and build trusted relationships with colleagues, partners, local authorities and other key stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
