Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Your Role

We’re looking for a Head of Business Development to take full ownership of our BDR function and help us scale it to its next stage of maturity.

This is a second-line leadership role, leading around 18 BDRs through Team Leaders across France, the Nordics, Spain, Italy, Benelux, and the US. Reporting to our VP Sales, you’ll work closely with Sales, Marketing, and senior leadership to drive performance and shape the future of the function.

The team is already established. Your focus will be on developing team leaders, evolving the BDR playbook, improving performance, and bringing new ideas and best practices to make the function more effective and scalable.

You’ll need to be comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels, staying close to the teams while thinking about the bigger picture.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop the BDR organisation

    • Lead and coach BDRs and BDR team leaders across multiple European markets.
    • Set clear expectations, performance standards, and accountability across the function.
    • Support managers with performance management, development, and career progression.
    • Build strong management practices and ensure the team has the structure and support needed to perform.
  • Own the BDR strategy and playbook

    • Own and continuously evolve the BDR playbook across inbound and outbound motions.
    • Adapt prospecting strategies and processes to different markets and customer segments.
    • Identify and test new approaches to improve prospecting, qualification, and conversion.
    • Bring new ideas and best practices to improve how the BDR function operates and performs.
  • Drive performance through data

    • Own and monitor the key BDR metrics: meetings booked, SQLs, and contribution to sales.
    • Analyse performance across teams, markets, and managers to identify trends and opportunities.
    • Turn data and insights into concrete actions to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Optimise processes and tooling

    • Continuously improve the processes, systems, and tools supporting the BDR function.
    • Ensure strong adoption and effective use of our sales tech stack, including Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn, Cognism, Claude, Clay, and Apollo.
    • Identify opportunities to make the function more scalable and effective.
  • Partner across the business

    • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to align BDR activity with our broader go-to-market strategy.
    • Partner with senior leadership on organisational and strategic decisions affecting the BDR function.
    • Represent the BDR function and bring its perspective into wider commercial discussions.
