Location: Europe — Europe-based candidates only
Employment: Full-Time
Travel: Regular travel across European markets
The role in one line:
Build Alliance’s European business through your existing network, proactive market development, account growth, partnerships, and franchise acquisition — not by waiting for inbound leads.
The Opportunity
Alliance Recruitment Agency is looking for a senior, commercially driven Business Development leader to build and grow our European business.
This is a hands-on, market-facing role for someone who understands the European recruitment and HR-services ecosystem, has an established network of business decision-makers, and can independently create, develop, and convert commercial opportunities.
We are not looking for someone who waits for inbound leads. We are looking for someone who can leverage existing relationships, build new ones, grow client accounts, develop partnerships, identify market opportunities, and create sustainable revenue for Alliance.
An important part of this role is the ability to identify, qualify, and sell Alliance franchise opportunities across Europe to suitable entrepreneurs, recruitment professionals, staffing-business owners, and investors.
About Alliance Recruitment Agency
Alliance provides recruitment and workforce solutions across permanent recruitment, contract and temporary staffing, executive search, RPO, international talent sourcing, and IT staffing, serving organisations across multiple industries and geographies.
Alliance also operates a franchise model designed around recruitment and related technology, digital, and AI workforce opportunities, supporting international expansion through multiple commercial models.
Your Mission
Build Alliance’s European commercial presence by combining:
- Existing relationships
- New relationships
- Client growth
- Partnerships
- Market development
- Franchise expansion
The expectation is simple: Find the opportunity. Open the door. Build the relationship. Create the commercial proposition. Close and grow the business.
Key Responsibilities
1. European Market Development
- Develop and execute Alliance’s business-development strategy across priority European markets.
- Identify target industries, companies, decision-makers, and emerging opportunities.
- Build Alliance’s presence within the European recruitment, staffing, and HR ecosystem.
2. Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Generate opportunities through your own network, referrals, introductions, industry events, partnerships, targeted outreach, and market intelligence.
- Develop relationships with organisations requiring recruitment and workforce solutions.
- Create opportunities across permanent hiring, contract staffing, executive search, RPO, international recruitment, IT staffing, and related workforce solutions.
- Grow repeat business, account value, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Understand each prospect’s market, experience, commercial objectives, and expansion ambitions.
- Present the appropriate Alliance franchise proposition and explain the relevant business model, support structure, territory options, and available service opportunities.
- Own the prospect journey from initial conversation through qualification, franchise presentation, commercial discussion, negotiation, closure, and handover.
- Build a qualified franchise pipeline and help expand Alliance’s franchise footprint across Europe.

- IT Staffing
- Dedicated Recruitment Teams
- Global / Remote Talent Solutions
8. Commercial Ownership

9. European Market Intelligence
- Track hiring trends, talent shortages, industry developments, and competitor activity.
- Identify markets and sectors with strong recruitment or workforce demand.
- Identify potential franchise markets and partner opportunities.
- Feed market intelligence into Alliance’s European growth strategy.

- Proven record of personally developing and growing business.
- Strong relationships with senior HR, Talent Acquisition, C-suite, and business decision-makers.
- Experience across new opportunities, account growth, referrals, and partnerships.
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and commercial skills.
- Comfortable with proactive prospecting and creating business without depending on inbound leads.
- Comfortable presenting and selling a business / franchise opportunity, not only a service.
- Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and comfortable working independently.
- Willingness to travel across Europe.
- Additional European language capability is an advantage.

- Which industries and buyer groups you understand.
- How you built your network.
- What business you have personally generated or expanded.
- How you create opportunities when there are no inbound leads.
- How you would build Alliance’s client and franchise business across Europe.
No confidential client information or private contact lists are required. We want to understand the quality of your relationships, commercial credibility, and ability to create revenue.
This Role Is Not For You If
- You depend primarily on inbound leads.
- Your pipeline has historically been supplied almost entirely by marketing or SDR teams.
- You have mainly managed accounts without personally developing business.
- You have limited European market exposure.

- You are uncomfortable selling a franchise / business opportunity alongside recruitment services.
How Success Will Be Measured

- Existing Account Growth
- Self-Generated Business
- New Client Opportunities
- Cross-Sell / Upsell
- Strategic Partnerships
- Franchise Opportunities Generated & Converted
- European Franchise Network Growth

- Strength of Senior European Relationships
The Person We Want
You are a European market builder, not simply a salesperson.
You know how European businesses buy. You know how to reach decision-makers. You have relationships you can activate. You are comfortable creating opportunities from scratch. You can sell a recruitment solution to a CHRO, build a partnership with a staffing company, expand an existing client relationship—and sit across the table from an entrepreneur and confidently present Alliance as a potential business opportunity.
