Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary Package: Up to £80,000 per annum + bonus, dependent on experience
Contract: Monday-Friday, 36 hours per week

Vision Engineering Group (VE), are a multinational manufacturing and design organisation, specialising in optical inspection, non-contact measurement, digital imaging systems and advanced manufacturing services. With global operations in over 10 countries, VE are product serving a variety of industries including defence, electronics, energy, medical device, and precision engineering.


The Opportunity

VE are evolving, transforming their sales function from traditional telemarketing to a high-performing, intelligence-led Sales Enablement Hub.
We are seeking a strategic sales leader to drive the transformation of this function, designing our outreach playbooks, coach the team on value-based messaging and bridge the gap between market research and field sales execution.

Responsibilities

  • Process Architecture: Design, implement and optimise the end-to-end "Lead-to-Demo" pipeline workflow
  • Team Leadership & Coaching: Manage, mentor and upskill regional Business Development Representatives (BDRs) using modern, consultative selling frameworks
  • Playbook Development: Create and maintain standard operating procedures, including value-based outreach scripts, email cadences and objection-handling guides that focus on customer productivity and ergonomics
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with the Director of Group Sales and regional Field Sales Managers to ensure a seamless handoff of highly qualified opportunities and optimised demo scheduling
  • Performance Analytics: Track, analyse and report on key pipeline metrics, including conversion rates, pipeline velocity, and team KPI achievements
  • Other Ad-Hoc responsibilities, as required by needs of the business

Person Specification

  • Demonstrable experience in sales leadership within a B2B technical environment
  • Background working within technical engineering, manufacturing, instrumentation or similar vertical. Microscopy experience – highly beneficial
  • Experienced in implementing improvements and changes to sales workflows. Experience of redesigning a new sales workflow - highly beneficial
  • Competency tracking and reporting on sales team performance analytics. In-depth working knowledge of Salesforce – highly beneficial
  • Track record influencing and driving team performance during business change
  • Able to manage any resistance through to team adoption
