Reporting into Tétris UK leadership; a dual-seat leadership role sitting on both the Tétris UK Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the PDS UK Extended Leadership Team.

Role Actions

  • Sit on the Tétris UK Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the PDS UK Extended Leadership Team, representing Tétris' growth agenda and ensuring close alignment between both leadership forums
  • Own and drive the Tétris UK growth strategy, ensuring it is fully aligned to JLL's Accelerate 2030 strategy and imperatives
  • Leverage JLL's client relationships and market presence to generate new business opportunities
  • Position Tétris as the design and build provider of choice for JLL colleagues across Leasing Advisory, Account Management, and Project Management teams
  • Develop strategic partnerships with JLL service lines to create integrated client solutions that combine real estate expertise with design and build excellence
  • Identify and pursue opportunities in commercial office and retail fit-out projects in central London and regional markets
  • Develop client relationships and introduce Tétris services to prospective new clients
  • Own the lead generation and sales sourcing process for individual projects – ensuring the qualification of each opportunity is in line with Tétris requirements
  • Drive proactive market engagement: attend industry events, build and maintain a strong professional network, and champion brand awareness for Tétris, with particular focus on the London market
  • Work in close collaboration with the Tétris UK SMT to drive business growth in a targeted, coordinated way across the UK business
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end bid process, ensuring consistency, quality and competitiveness across all submissions
  • Develop trusted, collaborative relationships with other JLL business lines to drive a OneJLL mindset and unlock integrated client opportunities
  • Oversee relevant project teams from an account management perspective and act as the client's primary point of contact through the lifespan of a won and/or prospective project
  • Responsible for defining and managing the ‘strategy to win’ for each new opportunity
  • Maintain oversight of won projects from a client relationship position, working in collaboration with Tétris commercial and delivery leads to ensure the Tétris team delivers in line with client and contract expectations
  • Maintain oversight of all relevant sales opportunities on Salesforce in a live, organised, and proactive manner to ensure annual sales targets (gross and net) are met
  • Operate at all times in line with the Tétris/JLL corporate code of conduct
  • Work closely with the EMEA Business Development team to share market and lead insights

Responsibilities

The key responsibility of the Head of Business Development / Business Development Director will be to ensure that they meet and ideally exceed assigned annual sales targets (gross revenue and net margin) and hence contribute to the growth of a steady and sustainable pipeline for the Tétris UK business. This role must support the influx of opportunities from relevant lead sources while following appropriate risk management practices and maintaining a highly competitive “winning” attitude.

As a member of both the Tétris UK SLT and the PDS UK Extended Leadership Team, the role also carries direct responsibility for shaping and driving the Tétris UK growth strategy in full alignment with JLL's Accelerate 2030 imperatives, for taking ownership of the bid process end-to-end, and for building trusted cross-business-line relationships that embed a OneJLL mindset across the wider organisation. The role is also expected to actively raise Tétris' profile and brand awareness in the London market through sustained industry engagement, networking, and event attendance, working hand-in-hand with the Tétris UK SMT to ensure growth activity is targeted and coordinated.

Experience – Required

  • Proven ability to and experience in successfully presenting to executive/board level individuals
  • Knowledge and understanding of design & build, detail and build, and design-only processes
  • Knowledge and understanding of London and South East office markets, nationwide UK is a plus
  • Knowledge and understanding of ‘cradle to grave’ UK property process
  • Significant relevant experience in the UK construction/fit out market (London/South East preferred)
  • Proven track-record of successfully developing new business and winning (i.e. closing) design & build sales deals
  • Excellent communication/people skills
  • Ability to develop strong, long term relationships and operate effectively in a matrix organisation to support clients / get things done and win repeat business
  • A strong existing London & South East property and fit out network

Skills And Attributes – Preferred

  • Professional qualification in commercial real estate will be beneficial
  • Knowledge of / experience operating within corporate organisations is an advantage
  • Extensive experience working successfully across a wider property transaction process a plus
  • A commitment to collaboration, teamwork and maintaining an ethical approach to business
  • Comfortable operating at senior leadership-team level, contributing to strategy beyond individual sales delivery
  • Dealing with ambiguity; working with limited information
  • A flexible and proactive attitude, an individual able to work under their own initiative with a high degree of energy, assertiveness, and creativity
