Head of Business Development and Sales
AAC Clyde Space is seeking a Head of Business Development and Sales for our Products team, an opportunity to join our global Business Development team. You can be based either in the UK, Sweden or Netherlands.
This role is responsible for leading Business Development, Sales and strategic direction for the Products business line. Together with direct reports - create, identify, drive and take responsibility for product opportunities, to establish a strong pipeline and winning contracts.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with previous sales experience in the space industry and ready for their next challenge, including building a new team. You will be passionate about space with a technical background. You will also enjoy networking with customers, committed to leading and delivering sales targets and working in a dynamic, fast paced working environment with exciting projects and challenging schedules.
The role is available on a hybrid working basis as the nature of the role will require frequent business travel (both local and global) plus the occasional ‘out of hours’ work that may be required to support customer and business activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver work tasks and assignments in accordance with agreed priorities to required standards, quality, budget and deadlines
- Execute role in accordance with company strategy, sales process and wider governance
- Active customer engagement to manage their account and understand their needs
- Leverages and develops network and understanding of the market to identify new and existing customers
- Propose and share ideas from customers, stakeholders, colleagues around services and solutions for missions to inform our technology developments
- Liaise with the wider Business Development team to ensure regular communication so assess if there are customers for other business lines
- Share all key working customers to coordinate and manage across Group.
- Contribute to proposals and securing new projects in partnership with the Business Development team
- Provide functional input to direct and inform company technical/commercial strategy/new product development
- Resolve any conflicts between contractual obligations and “wants” of the customer/contractor
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders and their expectations to ensure their continued support
- Manage the global BD team for the business line

Skills Required
- Relevant degree or equivalent work experience
- Previous sales experience in the space industry
- Evidence of developing and maintaining customer and stakeholder relationships
- Evidence full understanding of the satellite value chain
- Ability to understand technical concepts to sufficient level of detail for sales process
- Working knowledge and ability to apply contractual guidelines, quality standards and controls appropriate to each global region
- Identify risks and opportunities to the business with compliance related activities
- High attention to detail while balancing speed with rigour
- Demonstrates networking capabilities with successful track record of engaging and influencing customers
- Excellent commercial and market awareness with ability to assess and mitigate risk
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal abilities for professional settings and standards.
- Demonstrates sound judgement and resilience in dynamic, time-constrained environments.
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow-through
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and projects in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
- Competent IT skills including Microsoft software
- Proficient in English, both verbally and written
