The University has a diverse estate, property and land portfolio spanning several campuses, including the main Highfield campus, the City Centre Campus, Avenue Campus, the Boldrewood Innovation Campus, and the Winchester School of Art. The Estates & Facilities team ensure that the University has a built and physical environment that supports the activities of a world-class University, across a portfolio of academic, state of the art research, clinical, enterprise, workspace, residential, social amenity, sport and community facilities. Ambitious plans are afoot with an estates masterplan that will see £1bn of investment in enhancing and delivering a sustainable, inclusive estate over the next decade.

About The Role

Reporting to the Director of PMO and Business Support, you will have a pivotal leadership role, as an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Business Support. This is a strategic post with responsibility for driving operational excellence, enabling effective decision-making, supporting delivery of the Estates and Facilities operations.

  • You will lead and manage the provision of integrated, coordinated, flexible, responsive, proactive and consistent support, information and communication services across all Estates & Facilities functions
  • Lead the provision of business support services, ensuring consistently high standards of executive support to E&F Leadership Team and senior management
  • Professional helpdesk/customer services operations
  • Efficient administrative support to all E&F teams
  • Lead a continuous review of internal systems, procedures and processes to ensure consistency, identifying opportunities for change and improvement

  • You will have a credible strong track record of delivering excellent business business support
  • Passionate in driving improvement using modern digital tools to create efficient and effective administration and communication in a complex environment
