Head of Business Transformation

An international organisation is looking for an experienced Head of Business Transformation to lead a portfolio of strategic initiatives designed to improve operational performance, customer experience and the way technology is used across the business.

This is a senior, business-facing role combining transformation, technology, process improvement, automation and digital innovation.

You will work closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities for improvement, develop the transformation roadmap and lead delivery from strategy through to measurable business outcomes.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Own and develop the organisation's business transformation roadmap.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce manual activity and increase operational efficiency.
  • Lead major business and technology transformation programmes.
  • Oversee the evolution of key business applications and digital platforms.
  • Ensure technology solutions align with business strategy and deliver measurable value.
  • Drive greater use of automation, AI and emerging technologies where they can deliver genuine business benefit.
  • Improve customer, supplier and employee digital experiences.
  • Provide governance across solution architecture, systems integration and technology delivery.
  • Work with data teams to improve reporting, data quality and decision-making.
  • Manage strategic technology suppliers and third-party partners.
  • Oversee programme budgets, resources, risks, dependencies and benefits realisation.

You will lead a multidisciplinary transformation function including:

You will be responsible for building a high-performing team and establishing a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and delivery accountability.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in senior professionals who have operated across the business and technology interface, rather than candidates from a purely technical or infrastructure background.

You are likely to have experience in several of the following:

  • Business or digital transformation
  • Technology strategy
  • Enterprise applications / business systems
  • ERP or CRM
  • Solution architecture
  • Systems integration and APIs
  • Process optimisation
  • Automation
  • AI / emerging technology
  • Data and analytics
  • Programme or portfolio management
  • Vendor and commercial management

You should have a strong track record of taking transformation initiatives from strategy and business case through to implementation and measurable benefits.

The Ideal Candidate

You'll be a commercially minded transformation leader who can:

  • Influence senior stakeholders and translate business challenges into practical solutions.
  • Balance strategic thinking with delivery.
  • Challenge existing processes and technology where appropriate.
  • Build consensus across different business functions.
  • Lead complex change across multiple teams or regions.
  • Demonstrate tangible improvements in efficiency, cost, customer experience or revenue.
  • Understand technology sufficiently to challenge architecture, applications and integration decisions without needing to be the hands-on technical specialist.
