We are seeking five exceptional leaders to head key disciplines within our Asset Management Capability, driving the development of specialist capability across:
- Asset Data, Information and Digital
- Asset Maintenance and Lifecycle Delivery
- Asset Risk and Performance Management
- Asset Strategy and Planning
- Asset Governance, Compliance and Assurance
Operating within a complex and evolving UK Defence environment, these roles will play a critical part in shaping how asset management is delivered across the organisation. You will help ensure that critical assets, systems and information capabilities remain resilient, effective and ready to support operational requirements, while influencing the long-term decisions that underpin Defence capability.
This is a unique opportunity to help build and mature a modern asset management capability, embedding best practice, driving innovation, and creating the foundations for sustainable, data-driven decision making. As a senior leader, you will shape strategy, influence significant investment decisions, and help deliver the adaptable and mission-ready capabilities needed to meet current and future Defence challenges.

You will:
- Shape and deliver capability strategy, setting the direction for future performance and maturity.
- Establish and embed industry-leading frameworks, standards and best practice.
- Drive informed investment decisions through effective governance, risk management and performance insight.
- Champion the optimisation of asset performance, value and customer outcomes.
- Act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders on strategic priorities and investment planning.
- Build influential partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead, inspire and develop high-performing teams.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and evidence-based decision making.
- Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and industry requirements while delivering sustainable long-term outcomes.
About You
You are a strategic and forward-thinking leader with experience of delivering complex change and capability improvement within large, highly regulated organisations.
You will bring significant expertise and leadership capability in one of the following asset management capability areas:
- Asset Data, Information and Digital
- Asset Maintenance and Lifecycle Delivery
- Asset Risk and Performance Management
- Asset Strategy and Planning
- Asset Governance, Compliance and Assurance
You will also have:
- A proven track record of success in senior leadership positions.
- Strong strategic thinking, commercial awareness and decision-making capability.
- The ability to influence, challenge and inspire stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience leading transformation and continuous improvement programmes.
- A strong understanding of asset management, governance, risk and performance management principles.
- Exceptional leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
