Head of Carrier Relations / Wholesale Voice

About the Role

PrimeRoute Telecom LTD is looking for an experienced Head of Carrier Relations / Wholesale Voice to lead our global carrier acquisition, interconnection and wholesale voice partnerships.

We are looking for someone with an established network and proven experience working with MNOs, international carriers, wholesale voice providers, telecom operators and interconnection teams.

This is a senior commercial role with responsibility for developing direct carrier relationships and expanding our international wholesale network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and establish relationships with direct MNOs and international carriers.
  • Build and manage carrier/interconnection partnerships across multiple countries.
  • Contact carrier wholesale, interconnect and international business departments.
  • Negotiate wholesale voice rates, commercial terms and traffic commitments.
  • Lead carrier onboarding from initial contact through contract and technical testing.
  • Support MSA, NDA, interconnection and commercial agreement negotiations.
  • Work closely with our technical team during SIP/interconnection testing.
  • Develop and maintain a global carrier database and relationship pipeline.
  • Identify competitive routes, rates and new wholesale opportunities.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with carrier and operator partners.
  • Coordinate with technical, finance and compliance teams to bring new carriers live.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in telecom wholesale, carrier relations, interconnection or international voice.
  • Strong existing relationships with MNOs, carriers or wholesale telecom providers.
  • Proven experience acquiring and onboarding carrier partners.
  • Strong knowledge of international voice/SIP wholesale.
  • Understanding of carrier interconnection processes and commercial negotiations.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage international relationships.
  • Existing carrier contacts/network will be a major advantage.
