Head of CASS

Location: Edinburgh or Glasgow
Contract: Permanent

A fast-growing, technology-led financial services business is looking to appoint a Head of CASS to lead its client asset oversight function and shape the future of its regulatory operations.
This is a senior, high-visibility leadership role with genuine influence across the organisation. You’ll own the end-to-end CASS framework, provide strategic direction, and act as the key point of contact for the executive team, Board, auditors and regulators. As the business continues to scale, you’ll ensure its CASS environment remains robust, compliant and operationally sound.
The role also carries the CASS operational oversight certification function, reflecting its importance and seniority.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Leading and owning the firm’s CASS function, ensuring strong governance, oversight and regulatory compliance
  • Interpreting and embedding CASS requirements across the organisation in a scalable, pragmatic and commercially aware way
  • Designing and operating an effective CASS governance framework, including chairing the CASS Committee
  • Proactively managing CASS risk, including oversight of incidents, breaches and remediation activity
  • Acting as the senior point of contact for regulators, auditors and key external stakeholders
  • Building, leading and developing a high-performing CASS team, ensuring CASS knowledge is embedded across the business
  • Advising senior leadership and the Board on CASS risk, regulatory change and strategic implications
