The Advocate Group is exclusively supporting an ambitious FMCG business in the appointment of a Head of Category.
A senior role leading the Category function and influencing commercial strategy, RGM and customer planning across the UK business.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, develop and evolve the UK Category function.
- Shape category strategy using market, shopper and customer insight.
- Drive RGM, pricing, promotion and assortment initiatives.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing and Commercial teams on business planning.
- Build strong relationships with key retail customers.
- Provide senior stakeholders with clear, insight-led commercial recommendations.
- Develop best practice across category data, insight and performance measurement.

About you
- Senior Category Management experience within FMCG.
- Experience leading or developing a Category team.
- Strong commercial understanding and RGM exposure.
- Confident using Nielsen, Circana, Kantar, dunnhumby or similar.
- Strong influencing, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable operating strategically while remaining commercially hands-on.
