Role Purpose

The Head of Category Planning is accountable for end-to-end planning performance for selected North Europe categories, combining direct responsibility for Demand Planning and the coordination of Supply with broader leadership of category planning execution.

Acting as a performance, orchestration and capability leader, the role ensures robust cross-functional decision-making, alignment between commercial ambition and operational execution, and measurable impact on service, cost, inventory, waste and growth delivery.

The role operates as a key category planning leader within the North Europe Planning, connecting the IBP/S&OE rhythm with category priorities, supply constraints and business trade-offs.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Category Planning Performance

  • Own end-to-end planning performance across multiple categories, ensuring excellent service, availability and business results within a multi country organisation (MCO).
  • Drive planning readiness for innovation, portfolio changes and business transformation initiatives.
  • Identify and manage risks, leading recovery plans when service or supply is impacted.

Drive Integrated Demand & Supply Planning

  • Lead the demand planning process, ensuring robust assumptions and high-quality forecasting.
  • Align demand, supply and logistics teams to deliver achievable and responsive category plans.
  • Translate market insights, risks and opportunities into clear recommendations and actions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
