Dead Man's Shoes: waiting for the person above you to retire, resign, or finally make good on a promise before you're allowed to move up.
This job isn't about swapping one queue for a slightly shorter one. There is no queue. The function is brand new, and you'd be the head of it from day one.
The biggest problem for Associates & Associate Directors is how you move up and make the next step whilst delivering the big projects. If you worked here, the day to day delivery will get taken off you and resourced properly, meaning you can focus on the things that actually grow a function.
You'd work for an established compliance group with three businesses already winning the kind of work that needs a CDM Principal Designer. So there's some pipeline waiting rather than a cold start, they plan on being a big name in this space in no time at all.

What you'll be doing
Once you've set up the processes, and the team is building you'll be free of the day to day grind of doing everything yourself. You'll focus on the things you do best.

- Building and running the team that delivers it

You'll be in control of the function's strategy and have a hand in where the wider group goes next.
There's a 10% combined pension, 5% from them and 5% from you. Holiday starts at 29 days from day one and grows a day every year to 32.
You'll work from home, with offices nationwide you can build into and attend as and when.
Here's what you'll need
Previous experience in a senior CDM role. You're probably an Associate or Associate Director right now.
You're the kind of person who enjoys winning fees and clients as much as delivering for them.
