Purpose of the Role
To be the operational focal point across Central London, leading a varied team who are committed to delivering the highest possible operational standards across some of the UK’s most high-profile destinations, with some of the most complex infrastructures, whilst continuing to deliver against the Divisional Strategy. You will be expected to develop approaches unique to the schemes, clients, and customer requirements while maintaining and reporting on the governance metrics set by the central business.
These standards will continue to evolve, and as a senior leader within Central London and the UK, you will be expected to drive the evolution of operational property management by being an active participant in divisional committees, setting policies and procedures to ensure our approach remains appropriate for all regions and scheme types.
The post holder will be expected to lead on emergency situations and be part of the all-hours escalation chain, including being a part of the Silver Command structure. When dealing with significant incidents, maintaining strong relationships across all of the Savills UK business is essential, as is the requirement to have in-depth supplier and client relationships. Reporting to the Head of UK Engineering, it will have a number of dotted lines, crucially to the Head of London Business Space, Head of London Retail Management, and Head of Central London Offices.

There will be an expectation that in conjunction with the Head of London Business Space and the Head of London Offices, you will develop an annual business plan for the London Region and be expected to deliver on the agreed objectives. While the role is a strategic role, as an operational leader, you will be required to lead on particular projects, issues, or conflicts that require the input of a senior operational leader. This can include working through conflicts along with internal stakeholders to reduce our business risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver divisional strategy across LBS managed sites
- Lead internal and external recognition for operational management, achieving recognition for our model
- Operational support to the Safety+ team and regional leads, as required, including the production of policy
- Be the operational contact for the supply chain across all non-engineering sectors
- Drive innovation and technology across all mandates, ensuring we remain at the forefront of developing new ways of working
- Be focal point for mobilisations and set up, providing support to the development set-up team
- Provide regular governance by reporting across the Central London region on operational performance focusing on key risk areas
- Be active in working on key wider business projects outside of the PM Division contributing to key business objectives
- Develop relationships with other divisions to help support the wider business growth
- Drive operational performance working in conjunction with our ESG leadership team
- Hold key client relationships across the region in conjunction with the appointed CRM’s
- Be a recognised problem solver for all operational matters across the Central London & UK Business
- Represent the division and wider business on key social value projects, contributing to working groups as required
- Be financially responsible for your own P&L’s

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Detailed operational knowledge of managing a range of schemes.
- Proven experience in leading a large and varied team, being able to get the very best performance out of individuals to contribute to a wider high-performing team.
- Able to provide leadership in emergency or difficult situations.
- Able to identify risks to our business and mitigate against such risks, particularly when they are not obvious.
- Able to demonstrate a strong industry relationship with key Clients and Service Partners
- A good understanding of future challenges to the industry, such as the emergence of Data & ESG related drivers/legislation changes and the emergence of Protect.
- Able to articulate and develop our unique RISE operating model.
