About the Role
Are you an experienced strategic partnership leader? Join us as Head of Channel Partnerships—a pivotal moment in our growth—as we build a world-class commercial organisation globally.
You will:
- Shape our partner strategy,
- Lead CRM and revenue-generating partnerships,
- Drive expansion across global private markets.
The ideal candidate will:
- Develop and deliver strategic partnerships to expand Sonata One’s market footprint,
- Collaborate with New Business, Marketing, Product, and Tech teams to amplify go-to-market success,
- Grow Sonata One’s value to partners and global customers while strengthening stakeholder relationships.
Responsibilities
Revenue Generation
- Develop and execute the global channel partnership strategy to drive commercial growth.
- Discover and unlock new revenue through strategic partnerships, cross-selling, and partner-led growth.
- Align with the New Business team to maximise partner-generated commercial opportunities.
- Support joint marketing campaigns and initiatives that enhance brand awareness and convert into high-value pipeline.
Strategic Partnership Development
- Identify and establish high-impact partnerships within the private markets ecosystem.
- Craft long-term partnership frameworks that align with Sonata One’s growth objectives.
- Assess partners on market presence, strategic alignment, and future revenue potential.
- Expand our partner network into key global markets.

Relationship Management
- Build and maintain trusted, high-level stakeholder relationships across partner organisations.
- Serve as the key executive contact for ongoing strategic partners and advisory discussions.
- Develop tailored engagement plans that foster deep collaboration and long-term value.
- Proactively resolve challenges and leverage insights to strengthen partnership effectiveness.
Performance & Growth
- Establish clear KPIs, metrics, and commercial forecasting to measure partnership effectiveness.
- Monitor pipeline health, deal origination, customer retention, and engagement trends.
- Use data-driven insights from CRM and market performance to continuously optimise strategy.
- Provide actionable reporting to leadership, delivering commercial transparency and growth momentum.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing to refine opportunities, improve lead-to-conversion rates, and strengthen partner enablement.
- Ensure Partner feedback is integrated into Product and Tech roadmaps for adaptive innovation.
- Drive compliance, governance, and contractual alignment with Legal where needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven senior leadership in **partnerships, business development (BD), or commercial strategy.
- Fintech, fund services or private markets experience with a history of **successful partnership growth initiatives.
- Deep understanding of the private markets industry, including fund managers, institutional investors, and ecosystem partners.
- Beneficial: An established industry network with strategic private markets connections.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing commercial teams through motivation and mentorship.
- Critical: Strategic negotiation and power partner sales skills, with a focus on value-added relationships.
- Strong analytical mindset, able to leverage commercial data to inform strategic decisions.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing ability to drive alignment across organistions.
- Advantage: CRM platform experience (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
