Investec Corporate Banking Channels Technology

Investec is building a differentiated Corporate Banking proposition where exceptional client experience, servicing excellence and digital engagement are critical to our future growth. Corporate Banking Channels Technology is the client interaction and servicing layer for the Corporate Banking proposition.

As Head of Channels Technology, you'll lead the technology capability that underpins how clients and colleagues interact with the bank across digital, assisted and connectivity channels. This is a high-impact leadership role at the heart of our Corporate Banking technology organisation. Working closely with the Channel Proposition team and as a peer to the Head of Transactional Banking Technology, you'll shape the technology strategy, roadmap and delivery of the platforms that enable seamless client servicing, digital engagement and bank connectivity. You'll play a key role in modernising our channels estate while identifying opportunities to leverage AI and automation to enhance client and colleague experiences.

This role would suit a senior technology leader from a bank, challenger bank, FinTech or wider financial services organisation who is passionate about transforming client and colleague experiences through technology. You'll combine strategic thinking, engineering leadership and commercial awareness with a strong understanding of Corporate Banking client journeys, helping shape the future of how clients interact with Investec.

What will I be doing?

  • Establish and lead the Corporate Banking Channels Technology function, defining strategy, governance and delivery accountability across the portfolio.
  • Partner closely with the Channel Proposition team to translate business strategy into technology roadmaps, delivery priorities and client-focused outcomes.
  • Lead the delivery and evolution of corporate web and mobile banking platforms, enabling secure, intuitive and scalable client experiences.
  • Own the technology supporting telephone servicing, colleague-assisted journeys, workflow management and operational servicing platforms.
  • Define and drive the technology strategy for bank connectivity, including APIs, host-to-host integration and client system connectivity.
  • Champion platform modernisation through API-first architecture, modern engineering practices and resilient technology solutions.
  • Identify and deliver opportunities to improve servicing through AI, automation and data-driven innovation.
  • Build strong partnerships across Product, Operations, Architecture, Security, Risk and Corporate Banking leadership teams while fostering a culture of engineering excellence and ownership.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
