The Purpose of the Role
Lead the strategy and delivery of client growth initiatives, strengthens key client relationships, and converts market opportunities into sustainable revenue. The role is focused on developing new business opportunities, maintain and improve client retention whilst expanding income opportunities on existing relationships.
Main Duties
- Proactively source, build and develop long-term business relationships to drive income and profitability for Spicerhaart Corporate Sales
- Constantly look for new business opportunities and act on these to pro-actively drive the business forward and develop new income streams
- Maintain, manage and report on all new business activity constantly looking for trends and new opportunities.
- Play an integral part of the Corporate Sales Team, recognise new trends and potential business opportunities. Think outside the box and have confidence to explore and optimise new accounts. Add value to the business by seeking out further opportunities to grow the business.
- Take an active role in client relationships held with each of our Clients to support the Client Account Manager at all times looking at how to develop all client relationships.
- Attend client meetings, audits and new business presentations as required, both remotely and where required travelling to the client’s offices.
- Take ownership of Tender Opportunities, co-ordinating resource to complete and also drive an appropriate strategy to secure the business
- Attend Client and Industry Events always presenting the company in a positive light
- Play an integral part of the Corporate Sales Team, recognise new trends and potential business opportunities. Think outside the box and have confidence to explore and optimise new accounts. Add value to the business by seeking out further opportunities to grow the business.
- Ensure that change is managed effectively and delivered with minimal disruption to the team
- Work tirelessly to encourage the team to develop and maintain excellent client relations and enhancing these through pro-active client engagement.
- Setting the right example and keeping morale and motivation high at all times to create a positive working environment and harnessing teamwork.
- Provide support to senior management both within Blackpool and also throughout the wider Family as required.
- Ensure one off projects such as drive by valuations are delivered within agreed timeframes and also appropriate standards are met
- Maintain high professional standards in all aspects of the role and interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver monthly 1 to 1’s to all direct reports setting targets, goals, objectives and reviewing performance and areas for development. Also ensuring that these are conducted for all employees within reporting lines if appropriate.
- Undertaking Presentations as required and also using other Media to portray a positive impression of Spicerhaart and increase brand awareness.
- Assist with complex cases by either facilitating or directly communicating with internal/external stakeholders and customers as needed to help support the business.
- Working with other parts of the group to leverage value and also look at opportunities to support each other as part of One Team.
- Lead, coach and develop direct reports and ensure that they are committed to developing their skill set.
