The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Head of Client Relationships in our Client team reporting to the Client Relationships Director.
The successful applicant will work alongside the Client Service and Relationships team, Business Development and Marketing teams, Partners, Managing Associates, and Associates to drive effective client development by leveraging the firm's value for our clients, developing a broader understanding of their needs, proactively identifying opportunities, and building cross-firm collaboration.
This person will be pivotal in growing and managing Mishcon's top clients, setting up a good account management process for the client relationship programmes, and acting as a mentor to the BD Heads and Partners to show how to develop and grow client relationships.
The Client team operates two client relationship programmes: a client development and retention programme for our most premium and high-value clients called CARE, and a growth accelerator programme for our low to medium value, fast-growth clients called LEAP. The successful applicant will be accountable for growth of our CARE programme and effectively lead and manage a range of initiatives to help achieve growth across the current client base. This will be measured through both revenue objectives but also through overall contribution objectives such as stakeholder engagement, growth across different Mishcon departments, and feedback in our client feedback survey. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves to grow client relationships, enjoys thinking strategically, acting commercially, and works effectively with senior stakeholders.

- Use firmwide data sources to track client account information to inform gap analysis, opportunity spotting, and programme reporting, as well as driving a joined-up approach.
- Work with the wider BD, marketing, and product development teams, to help them to understand the needs and business drivers of your clients and how those needs should inform our campaign and product development activities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
