Head of Clipping

Location: Manchester or London – Hybrid (minimum three days a week in office)
Reports to: CEO
Department: Social

About NewGen

We're a global social and creator agency that exists to make brands iconic, standing at the forefront of culture, creators and community.

Founded by our 30 under 30 co founders, NewGen is an independent agency working with some of the world's biggest brands including Pepsi, Samsung, Amazon, SEGA and Cash App.

Privately owned and built to challenge the big networks and stale traditional agencies, we move fast and believe fresh ideas with the right culture capital can compete with anyone.

We're setting the standards for the world's most exciting brands and creators, so if you want to be part of something bigger and more ambitious than just another agency, this is the place to be.

The Role

We're looking for a Head of Clipping to join our growing team and build and run our clipping programme from the ground up. You'll own the proposition, the clipper network, the tech that runs it, and the results we deliver for clients, reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with our commercial, creator and tech teams.

Clipping is one of the fastest-growing parts of what we do: turning long-form moments, streams, trailers and creator activations into short-form content that travels across TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, X and whatever comes next. This role exists because we want to lead the category, not follow it.

What You'll Do

  • Build and own the clipping proposition: define how we sell clipping across our three models (repurposing long-form for brand channels, distribution at scale through clip pages and networks, and clippable moments within wider creator campaigns); own the commercial model, including CPM pricing, view caps, geo targeting and margin; and partner with account teams on pitches, proposals and client workshops as our clipping expert
  • Run the programme end to end: plan, launch, run and report on clipping campaigns across gaming, entertainment, sport and consumer brands; set the quality bar for clips, hooks, captions and formats; and deliver reporting that proves reach, audience quality and outcomes, not just view counts
  • Grow and manage the clipper network: recruit, vet and onboard clippers through Clipfarm, Discord communities and direct outreach; manage the full clipper workflow (sign-up, audience verification, channel authentication, view caps and payouts); and build relationships with the best clippers and clip pages so we get first call on the strongest talent
  • Own the clipping tech: act as product owner for our clipping tooling and its fit within NewGen Multiple, our campaign management and reporting platform; use it daily to run campaigns at scale; and automate the repetitive parts so the team can focus on strategy and quality
  • Keep NewGen and our clients at the front of the category: track platform changes, new formats and new monetisation routes, turn them into opportunities for clients, and share insight internally so the wider agency can sell and deliver clipping with confidence
  • Build a team: over time, hire and lead a small team of clipping specialists and campaign managers

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Office location & Days

Manchester or London-based (we'll also consider strong candidates elsewhere, including the US and Europe, on a remote basis)
Office days: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday

What You'll Bring

  • Hands-on experience running clipping or short-form distribution programmes, at an agency, a platform, a creator business, or as an operator in the clipping ecosystem
  • An insider's knowledge of the clipper world: how clippers find campaigns, how they get paid, what makes them pick one brief over another, and where the quality and fraud risks sit
  • A deep feel for what performs on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and X: hooks, pacing, captions, trends and platform quirks
  • Comfort with numbers: CPMs, view caps, margin, reach quality and reporting that stands up to client scrutiny
  • Experience working with tech or product teams, or building your own tooling, to run campaigns at scale
  • The ability to build something from nothing: you set the process, write the playbook, hire the people and fix what breaks
  • Confidence in front of clients, and the ability to explain clipping to a CMO and a Discord mod in the same afternoon
  • An eye for gaming, entertainment and creator culture, and a genuine interest in where short-form content is heading

Nice to have

  • You've run clips or clip pages yourself and built an audience doing it
  • Experience with Clipfarm, Whop or similar clipping marketplaces, and managing Discord communities
  • Background in gaming, Twitch or YouTube creator ecosystems
  • Experience briefing creators or editors and managing an editing pipeline
  • Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools, APIs or no-code automation
  • Experience hiring and managing a small team
