Director, Head of Cloud | Global Financial Services | London
We're partnering with a globally recognised financial services organisation undergoing a major cloud transformation and are seeking an experienced Director / Head of Cloud to lead its multi-cloud strategy across EMEA.
This is a rare opportunity to shape cloud strategy at enterprise scale, leading a high-performing engineering function while driving modernisation, AI adoption and next-generation infrastructure services. The role leads a team of approximately eight engineers and is responsible for defining cloud strategy, engineering standards, vendor relationships and cloud financial governance.

What you'll be doing:
- βοΈ Define and execute a multi-cloud strategy across (primarily AWS & Azure)
- π Lead the transformation to a product-led cloud operating model
- π€ Partner with senior technology and business leaders across multiple international regions
- π‘ Drive cloud adoption, infrastructure modernisation and AI enablement
- π Ensure cloud platforms are secure, resilient and compliant within a highly regulated environment
- π Own cloud roadmaps, investment planning, vendor management and cost optimisation
- π₯ Build, mentor and develop a cloud engineering team

We're looking for someone with:
- β Extensive experience leading enterprise cloud engineering teams
- β Deep expertise across AWS & Azure
- β Strong Infrastructure-as-Code and cloud engineering background
- β Experience delivering large-scale cloud transformation programmes
- β Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, DevOps and CI/CD
- β Experience engaging with executive stakeholders and influencing technology strategy
- β Financial Services or another highly regulated industry background is highly desirable
