About the Role
We are seeking a passionate technology focused Head of Cloud Engineering to lead and grow our Cloud Security practice. This strategic leadership role will be responsible for defining the vision, capability, and commercial success of our cloud offering while ensuring the highest standards of delivery for our clients.
The Head of Cloud Engineering will drive the adoption cloud and AI security technologies, strengthen strategic partnerships with Microsoft and other leading security vendors, and build a market-leading team of cloud security specialists.
This role combines technical leadership, business development, partner engagement, and client-facing consulting, ensuring the cloud practice remains at the forefront of innovation and industry best practice.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the Cloud Security strategy, aligned with wider business objectives and growth plans.
- Shape the future direction of the Cloud practice, identifying emerging technologies, market trends, and new service opportunities.
- Lead the strategic adoption of AI and cloud security technologies to enhance both customer outcomes and internal capabilities.
- Build and maintain a roadmap that ensures the organisation remains at the forefront of cloud security innovation.
Practice Leadership
- Work with managers across the Cloud practice to develop a high-performing team of Cloud Security Consultants and Technical Specialists.
- Give guidance on establishing clear career pathways, mentoring programmes, and certification plans to support employee growth and retention across the Cloud practice.
- Drive a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure consistent delivery quality across cloud security engagements.
Client Delivery & Consulting
- Act as a senior technical and strategic advisor to clients.
- Engage with senior stakeholders and executive teams to understand business challenges and define cloud security strategies.
- Provide leadership across complex cloud transformation, security modernisation, and AI adoption programmes.
- Support pre-sales activities, workshops, proof of concepts, and executive presentations.

- Microsoft Defender Suite
- Microsoft Sentinel
- Microsoft Entra
- Microsoft Copilot for Security
- Microsoft Purview

- Emerging AI security platforms
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies and services that create value for customers and drive business growth.

Strategic Partnerships
- Support and strengthen the strategic relationship with Microsoft.
- Build executive-level relationships with key technology partners and vendors.
- Collaborate on joint go-to-market initiatives, funded engagements, technical enablement, and capability development.
- Represent the organisation at partner events, conferences, and industry forums.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with a variety of teams across Bridewell, such as the below, to ensure aligned service offerings, customer success, and continued business growth:
- Sales & Bid Teams
- Technical Services including Security Architecture, Offensive Services and Operational Technology
- Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
- Managed Security Services
- Marketing & Alliances
Commercial Responsibility
- Contribute to cloud practice revenue growth and profitability.
- Support sales forecasting, pipeline development, and service expansion initiatives.
- Develop new service offerings and intellectual property aligned to market demand.
- Assist with bid responses, proposals, and strategic client opportunities.
Industry Leadership
- Serve as a recognised subject matter expert within the cloud security community.
- Develop thought leadership content, white papers, conference presentations, and technical blogs.
- Represent the organisation externally across industry events and strategic client engagements.
What We're Looking For
- Significant experience within a client-facing Cloud Security Consulting or Professional Services leadership role.
- Proven experience leading and developing technical consulting teams.
- Strong experience defining cloud security strategies for enterprise organisations.
- Experience managing strategic technology partnerships, particularly Microsoft.
- Demonstrable success growing technical capabilities, services, and teams.
- Experience engaging with executive stakeholders and board-level audiences.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience supporting business growth initiatives.

- Strong expertise across several of the following:
- Microsoft Entra (Identity, Identity Protection, Identity Governance, Internet Access, Private Access)
- Microsoft 365 Defender (Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps)
- Microsoft Defender for Cloud
- Microsoft Sentinel
- Microsoft Copilot for Security
- Microsoft Intune
- AWS Security Services
- Google Cloud Platform Security
- Zero Trust Architectures
- DevSecOps
- CNAP platforms (like Wiz and Palo Alto)
- Secure AI Adoption and AI Governance
- Post Quantum Cryptography

Location
Bridewell operates a hybrid and flexible working policy, however you will be required to travel to different sites on occasion.
