Head of Cloud, IT & Security

£75,000–£80,000 | London | Hybrid – minimum 3 days onsite (and potentially ad-hoc presence beyond this)

We’re working with an established healthcare information, data and media organisation looking for a Head of Cloud, IT & Security to take ownership of its cloud, IT operations and security environment.

The business operates across healthcare data and insights, digital publishing/subscriptions and industry events, creating a varied technology estate spanning cloud infrastructure, enterprise SaaS platforms and data-driven products.

This is a hands-on, operational leadership role and could be a great step up for someone already operating at a senior technical level who wants broader ownership and the opportunity to move into a Head of position.

The key here is breadth. This isn’t a pure cyber security, governance or cloud architecture role. You’ll work across cloud, infrastructure, IT operations, security, applications and external technology partners.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Taking ownership of IT operations, cloud infrastructure and cyber security
  • Managing predominantly Azure environments alongside AWS, with Azure the strategic direction
  • Acting as the senior escalation point across infrastructure, cloud and security
  • Managing outsourced MSP, service desk and security partners
  • Owning Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, identity and endpoint management
  • Supporting vulnerability management, incident response and wider security operations
  • Leading cloud governance, resilience, disaster recovery and business continuity
  • Providing technical and architectural oversight across enterprise SaaS applications
  • Identifying opportunities to use AI and automation to improve internal processes and productivity
  • Remaining close to the technology and willing to get hands-on when required

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
