We are looking for a Head of Social to join us here at Virgin Active.

As Head of Social, you’ll define and deliver Virgin Active’s UK social wellness proposition, creating standout experiences, partnerships, and programming that strengthen member connection and differentiate our clubs from traditional gyms. You’ll shape what social wellness means in practice across the member journey and build scalable formats that increase engagement, dwell time, and visit frequency across the estate.

The Role

  • Define how social connection shows up before, during, and after workouts
  • Create a culturally relevant calendar of social programming across clubs
  • Develop signature Virgin Active social experiences members choose to attend
  • Design scalable programming formats with flexibility for local delivery
  • Strengthen activation of lounges, cafés, and social spaces within clubs
  • Create pathways that help members move from attendance to participation to belonging
  • Build partnerships with brands, creators, and communities that enhance member experience
  • Introduce inspiration from hospitality, culture, and wellness sectors
  • Define KPIs to measure participation, engagement, and program impact
  • Track the influence of social programming on dwell time, visit frequency, and retention
  • Partner with Brand, Product, PT, GEXI, and Operations to embed social connection across the member journey

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
