Head of Commercial
London | £150,000 - £200,000 + Equity
OpusRS has partnered with a venture-backed AI and technology business that's quietly building one of the most exciting growth stories in the UK.
Over the last few years, they've built a strong reputation within a major operational industry, developed deep customer relationships with some of the sector's leading brands, and are now evolving into a much broader AI-powered software platform.
As the business enters its next phase of growth, they're looking for a Head of Commercial to work directly alongside the CEO and COO and help scale the company.
This is not a traditional sales leadership role. In fact, some of the strongest profiles we're speaking to aren't career sales leaders at all. They're people who've helped build and scale businesses. People who've joined early, worn multiple hats, worked alongside founders, solved messy problems, built teams, launched new initiatives, scaled functions, and grown with the companies they've helped create.
The Opportunity
The previous person in this role has recently stepped into the COO position, creating an opportunity for someone to take ownership of a highly visible and strategically important function.
You'll sit at the intersection of:
- Commercial
- Customer
- Product
- Operations
- Strategy
You'll work directly with customers, help shape how the product evolves, drive commercial growth, develop the team, and play a major role in defining what the business becomes over the next few years.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
