Are you an experienced senior commercial professional with a strong background in Facilities Management, construction or infrastructure? A leading FM organisation is seeking a Head of Commercial to provide strategic oversight across a portfolio of complex government contracts.
Reporting to the Commercial Director and working closely with senior operational leadership, you’ll ensure contracts remain commercially robust, profitable and effectively managed.
The Role
As Head Of Commercial, You’ll
- Lead commercial strategy across a complex FM contract portfolio.
- Manage commercial risk, pricing, profitability and post-contract activity.
- Oversee contract variations, negotiations and supplier agreements.
- Provide commercial leadership across KPIs, payment mechanisms, disputes and mitigations.
- Monitor contract performance and identify opportunities to protect and improve margin.
- Provide senior-level commercial advice to operational and business leadership.
- Ensure appropriate contractual governance and risk management.
- Lead, develop and support the commercial team.
- Build a strong commercial culture across the wider business.

You
To be successful, you’ll bring:
- Significant commercial or contracts management experience within FM, construction or infrastructure.
- Proven experience managing complex post-contract commercial activity.
- Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities.
- Excellent financial acumen, including pricing, P&L and financial modelling.
- Strong understanding of UK contract law and the Construction Act.
- Experience operating at senior leadership level and influencing key stakeholders.
- Experience with CCS/GCA, NEC FM or similarly complex service contracts would be highly advantageous.
- Strong people leadership and commercial decision-making skills.
