Manchester – Hybrid | £85,000 - £95,000 | OTE Uncapped | Up to c.3x base at full stretch/push performance
Leadly has grown from a standing start into a multi-brand lead generation and growth studio of 60 staff. That growth so far has been built on opportunity and instinct, brand by brand. What's missing is someone to take the reins commercially - to bring the core Agency business and ViewThru (our credit-checking product) under one ambitious, coherent growth strategy, and write the next chapter.
It's a genuinely senior opportunity: the chance to own the commercial strategy for a profitable, fast-moving business, build and lead a growing team, and be the person in the room with the founder and Group Director shaping where Leadly goes next. You'll have real tools at your disposal — including GTM, our in-house automated outreach platform, which gives you a genuine edge in generating pipeline — but this is a leadership role, not an operator role. We're looking for someone to drive growth, not just run a machine.
Purpose of the Role
Own and drive commercial growth across Leadly's core Agency business and ViewThru — setting the strategy, building the team, and personally closing new business from day one. This is a rare opportunity to take genuine ownership of a business's next stage of growth, not step into a role that's already been mapped out for you.
You'll have GTM, Leadly's in-house automated outreach platform, as a powerful tool to help generate pipeline — but your success in this role comes from your own commercial instincts, relationships, and leadership, not from any one system. We want someone who brings their own playbook and uses every tool available, GTM included, to build something bigger than what exists today.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Leadership & Growth Strategy
- Own commercial strategy and revenue targets across Leadly Agency and ViewThru — this is your growth plan to build and deliver.
- Build a repeatable, high-performing sales process and forecasting discipline across both brands, replacing today's ad hoc, brand-siloed approach.
- Sit at the leadership table with Tom (founder) and Joe (Group Director), shaping commercial priorities and the direction of the business.
- Support pricing and commercial terms for new client and partner relationships across both brands.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

New Business & Revenue
- Personally own and close new business — this is a hands-on, quota-carrying role, not solely a management position.
- Build and manage a personal pipeline of prospects across Agency and ViewThru, using every channel and relationship available to you.
- Take direct accountability for revenue targets, with compensation tied to new business won.
GTM & Outreach — A Tool in Your Arsenal
- Make full use of GTM, Leadly's in-house automated multi-channel outreach platform, as a genuine advantage in generating pipeline alongside your own outbound effort and network.
- Shape how GTM is deployed across Agency and ViewThru — channel mix, messaging, sequencing — so it works in service of your wider commercial strategy.
- Keep an eye on GTM's performance and refine it over time, as one input among several into a healthy pipeline.
People & Team Leadership
- Manage and develop our BD in her ViewThru role, including setting and reviewing targets.
- Build out the commercial function's structure and headcount as the business grows.
- Set and track individual and team targets, coaching on pipeline discipline and conversion.
Cross-Functional & Compliance
- Work cross-functionally with Paid Media, Tech, Finance, and Compliance to ensure sales and outreach activity aligns with FCA/SMCR obligations relevant to a regulated business.
- Own commercial reporting and pipeline visibility for the leadership team.

Person Specification
Essential
- Strong agency background within Martech or adtech — has genuinely sold agency services and understands how agencies operate commercially.
- Already operating at a senior, self-directed level: not a lower-level agency salesperson looking to step up, but someone ready to walk in and own new business independently from day one.
- 6–8 years' sales experience, with experience in a management/leadership capacity.
- Track record of personally closing new business, not just managing a team that does.
- Comfortable being both hands-on — closing deals personally — and strategic, owning multi-brand targets and reporting.
- Needs minimal guidance to manage and drive sales — able to operate fully autonomously and confident challenging directors.
- People management experience, with the ability to coach and develop a smaller team as it grows.
Desirable
- Familiarity with sales automation or outreach tooling — happy to make full use of GTM as part of a wider commercial toolkit.
- Experience across both start-up and mid-size company environments — comfortable building process from scratch as well as operating within a more established structure.
- Experience selling in financial services, fintech, insurance, or another regulated environment, given the FCA/SMCR context.
What You’ll Get
- Real ownership of a high-impact growth function.
- A fast-moving, no-corporate-fluff environment.
- Hybrid working pattern 2 days per week in our central Manchester office.
- To ceiling on earning potential.
- Good Vibes Days — fully paid days off for wellbeing, growth, and team connection.
- Extra holidays for service milestones plus your birthday off.
- Work From Anywhere Policy.
