Head of Commercial Development

Circle Integrated Care - Bedford

37.5 Hours & Permanent

Salary: Up to £90,000.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Circle Integrated Care is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Head of Commercial Development to join their team of staff.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties Of This Role Include

  • Act as a member of the CIC Executive Board, contributing to the overall strategic direction, governance and leadership of the organisation.
  • Support the Executive Director in developing and delivering CIC's long-term strategy, business plan and growth agenda.
  • Work closely with the Director of Operations and Director of Clinical Services to deliver integrated operational, financial and commercial objectives.
  • Lead CIC's business development strategy, identifying and delivering opportunities for sustainable growth across NHS, private healthcare and other healthcare markets.
  • Provide executive leadership for all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial performance activities across CIC.
  • Lead the development of robust commercial reporting and performance analysis across the organisation.
  • Provide executive oversight of all NHS commissioner, provider and commercial contracts.

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria

  • Significant senior leadership experience within healthcare, NHS, independent healthcare or other complex regulated organisations.
  • Proven experience leading finance, commercial, business development or strategic functions.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering sustainable business growth and commercial performance.
  • Significant experience leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience evaluating investment opportunities and business cases.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across finance, contracts and business support functions.
  • Strong understanding of NHS commissioning, healthcare contracts and integrated care systems.
  • Experience presenting to Boards, Executive Committees and senior external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, financial modelling and strategic planning skills.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Experience leading organisational change and transformation programmes.
