Head of Commercial & Estimating

Location: Rainham (Hybrid) Permanent, Full Time

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of an established estimating function and lead its strategic direction across the business. You will combine hands-on tendering with strategic leadership, helping to secure a wide range of projects that span refurbishment and selected new build schemes.

Working across sectors such as social housing, healthcare, education, and commercial fit out, you will bring consistency, insight, and innovation to the estimating approach. You will collaborate closely with multiple business units, ensuring the estimating function is aligned, proactive, and positioned as a key contributor to success.

Alongside managing and developing a capable team, you will also remain close to the detail, contributing to complex tenders and building strong internal networks. This is a role for someone who enjoys both leadership and delivery, and who is motivated by influencing outcomes and driving continuous improvement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
