Head of Commercial Finance

T2MResourcing are partnering with an innovative engineering and manufacturing business that works with some of the world's leading high-performance automotive brands. As the business continues to invest in its financial capabilities and systems, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Commercial Finance to lead the evolution of the finance planning and analysis function and commercial finance. This is a highly commercial role with a strong focus on business partnering.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll play a pivotal role in developing best-in-class FP&A capability, enhancing reporting and forecasting, and delivering commercial insights that support strategic decision-making across the organisation.

This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact in a business undergoing significant transformation. You'll have the autonomy to shape the FP&A function, influence senior stakeholders, and support major finance initiatives, including ERP implementation and the continued development of Power BI reporting.

Role Responsibilities

As Head of Commercial Finance, you will:

  • Lead the development of management reporting, providing greater visibility of business performance, margins, and key commercial drivers.
  • Own the budgeting and rolling forecasting process, improving forecasting accuracy and forward-looking financial insight.
  • Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting tools to deliver accessible, meaningful business intelligence.
  • Provide customer and product profitability analysis to support commercial decision-making around pricing, investment, and cost management.
  • Partner with senior leaders across the business, challenging assumptions and influencing strategic decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, reporting, automation, and data quality.
  • Support the implementation of new finance systems, including ERP projects.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a small FP&A team, with the opportunity to build capability as the business grows.

About You

We're looking for a commercially focused finance leader who enjoys combining strategic thinking with a hands-on approach. You'll ideally have:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and commercial reporting.
  • The ability to build and improve reporting in developing or low-data environments.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Experience partnering with senior non-finance stakeholders and influencing decision-making.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a changing, growth-focused environment.
  • Previous experience leading and developing finance teams.
  • Exposure to Power BI and ERP systems would be advantageous.
  • Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or a similar operational environment would be beneficial.
